EXTENSION TRAINING CENTRE, MALANGPORA

  • Extension training centre, Malangpora was established as National Extension Training Centre in the year 1954 and subsequently renamed as Rural Extension Training Centre.
  • The aim of the National Extension Training Centre was to augment rural development department and capacity building of officers and field functionaries.
  • The Institute had a distinction of being the only institute of its kind in J&K to cater the needs of farming community of this state.
  • After establishment of Agriculture University (SKUAST) in the state, in the year 1982, the Rural Extension Training Centre was undertaken by SKUAST-K and renamed as Extension Training Centre.
